Belleville police arrested a man who escaped hospital care Friday evening.
Police say that at approximately 9 p.m., officers were called to help locate a man who had run off before receiving care at Belleville General Hospital after he was brought there by Hastings-Quinte Paramedics.
They found the man a short time later in the east end of the city and as a result, 27-year-old Belleville man Joseph William Leslie Parks was arrested.
Parks faces charges of possession of a schedule one substance, which police say was cocaine, and was released on an appearance notice with a court date set for August 9.
