Loyalist College is receiving provincial government funding and entering into a partnership with a private cannabis company to do research aiming to improve cannabis production methods.
Loyalist is receiving $75,000 from the province and the company Apollo Green of Ottawa is kicking in $170,000 which will allow five Bioscience and Cannabis Applied Science students to do research over two years to find better ways to grow marijuana.
Apollo Green is Canada’s leader in cannabis genetics and provides seeds and clones to medical patients and recreational users.
