The Ministry of Labour has issued two orders to a Quinte West scrap yard following a fire earlier this year.
A Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development spokesperson tells Quinte News that an inspector attended Karten Metals on Subway Road after an employee suffered from smoke inhalation while attempting to put out a fire on May 20.
That was the second of three fires at the scrap yard so far this year.
The first occurred in January with the last one happening in mid-June.
The ministry spokesperson says as the investigation is ongoing they cannot reveal details of the orders at this time.
