With construction set to begin this week, the Humane Society of Hastings Prince Edward has launched a special website dedicated to its capital campaign to build a new shelter.
Greg Sudds, Chair of the HSHPE’s It Takes Heart Capital Campaign Committee, says the microsite is a one-stop place for residents to find out more about the new building and how to donate.
The building is being constructed in three phases, with the first phase of construction on the new Animal Care and Adoption Centre on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road scheduled to start Wednesday.
About $3.1 million has already been raised with the It Takes Heart Capital Campaign aiming to raise the remaining $2 million needed for the first phase.
