The prevalence of COVID-19 locally has diminished greatly in the past month.
In the four weeks from June 5 to July 2 there were nine new COVID-19 infections reported in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
Meanwhile, the percentages of the population that received one or both doses of vaccine increased dramatically over the same period.
On June 5, five percent of the population of Hastings-Prince Edward had received a first dose while by July 2, 76% had.
And the percentage of people being fully vaccinated rose from 7% to 34%.
