HPE Public Health is reporting one new case of COVID-19 in the region Wednesday.
It was found in a person from Quinte West, in the 19 to 29 age group and has been connected to travel.
There are currently two active cases in the area, with nobody in hospital due to the virus.
The health unit’s dashboard shows just over 48,000 people, or 28% of the area’s total population, has received both shots of vaccine.
113,300 people have at least one dose, which is 67% of the local population.
The numbers for Northumberland County have yet to be updated by the HKPR Health Unit.
