Hastings and Prince Edward Counties are heading into the weekend with just two active cases of COVID-19.
More than a week has gone by since the last new case of the virus was reported by Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.
More than 38,000 residents age 12 and up are fully vaccinated – that’s 26% of the population.
A first dose of vaccine has been administered to 75% of the population – more than 111,000 people.
More than 58,000 Hastings and Prince Edward residents have been vaccinated over the last four weeks, with 30,500 of them receiving their second shot.
One new case of COVID was reported in Northumberland on Friday.
The HKPR District Health Unit reports eight active cases.
