The Victory Barbell Club in Ameliasburg had two lifters compete in the recent Canadian Masters Weightlifting Championship.
Sarah and William Condon earned podium finishes in their respective age groups at the virtually held event.
Sarah Condon competed in the women’s 59 kilo division. She had a total lift of 119 kilograms or 261 pounds. Sarah clinched a silver medal and qualified for the 2022 World Masters Weightlifting Championships in Orlando Florida.
Competing in the men’s 96 kilogram class, William Condon finished with a total lift of 180 kilograms or 396 pounds to earn a bronze medal.
