A “small but mighty” Infection Prevention and Control team at Quinte Health Care has been recognized with the Values in Action Award by QHC’s Board of Directors.
The team is responsible for educating and supporting staff regarding infection control at Quinte Health Care’s four hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic and the tremendous challenges it presented.

“Their commitment and effort exceeded reasonable expectations, as they attended to every challenge that presented with expert guidance and support. Their most important work was to keep bringing us back to the fundamentals of infection prevention and control.”
The Infection Prevention and Control team consists of just three full-time and one part-time member.
