The Belleville Police Service responded to 79 calls from June 19, 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to June 20, 2021 at 5:00 a.m.
Theft of bike
On June 10, 2021, at 12:10 p.m., police responded to a Pinnacle Street address regarding the theft of a bike. Police were advised by the complainant that his bike was locked up outside his apartment, and an unknown suspect had cut the lock and stolen the bike. The bike is a red Norco mountain bike with disc brakes.
Police also received another call at 2:05 p.m. that another bike was stolen from a Tracey Park Drive address. The bike is described as a purple and grey 26’ Supercycle. Anyone with information on either of these thefts are asked to call the Belleville Police Service.
Arrested on warrants
On June 19, 2021, at 8:30 p.m., police were in the parking lot of a Haig Road apartment building when a male who was known to be wanted was observed. Police approached the male, identified as 38-year-old John Willis of Belleville, and arrested him. Willis was held in custody for a bail hearing on June 20 for his outstanding warrants for mischief, harassment, two counts of fail to comply with an undertaking, and fail to attend for fingerprints.
