Active COVID-19 cases across Hastings Prince Edward remain low.
Since Saturday, June 12, there were only four new cases of the virus.
As of Friday, there were only five active cases though that is an increase of one from last Saturday.
To date, 71% of the population have had their first dose of vaccine while 16% of the population are fully vaccinated.
The percentage of fully vaccinated individuals jumped five per cent over a week.
Last Saturday, 17,925 people had received both doses of vaccine.
As of yesterday, 26,191 people were fully vaccinated.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health will next update local numbers on Monday.
This week the health unit announced it’s changing its reporting structure and will no longer provide stats on weekends.
