The rain held off long enough Friday morning for Belleville’s Pop-Ups on the Bay to officially open.
Mayor Mitch Panciuk and several members of council were joined by Pop-Ups staff and operators at West Zwick’s Park for the launch.
The Pop-Ups feature a variety of food vendors, outdoor gear rentals and retailers.
This year the pop-up sheds have been brought to life with murals painted by 14 local artists.
Pop-Ups on the Bay is open Tuesday to Sunday and holiday Mondays for the summer, and weekends in September.
