More help is on the way for those suffering from depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges locally.
Yesterday, residents and businesses in the Quinte region pledged donations totalling over $36,000 during the Maurice Rollins Day of Remembrance presented by Quinte Broadcasting on radio stations CJBQ, MIX97, and ROCK107.
The family of the late Maurice Rollins had pledged to match donations dollar for dollar to a maximum of $50,000 meaning the actual donation to the Enrichment Centre for Mental Health will be over $72,000.
All of the money raised will go to frontline support for people suffering with mental health issues.
