Belleville Police are asking that motorists avoid the intersection of Dundas Street West and Sidney Street as well as Dundas Street West and Bay Bridge Road.
Police say the intersections are blocked off for an investigation into a serious motor vehicle collision that happened shortly before 6 p.m.
There is little information available but according to Scan-Quinte on Twitter there was a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the same area, though police have not confirmed whether or not there is a pedestrian involved.
Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes while the investigation is ongoing.
