If you want to take dad out fishing for Fathers’ Day this weekend, but don’t have an outdoors card, you’re in luck.
The Government of Ontario is allowing families to fish on June 19 and 20 without having to buy a licence, but says other rules do have to be followed.
Those include following conservation licence catch limits, obeying size limits and sanctuaries, and following other fishing guidelines, which you can find by clicking here.
The Province is also offering free day-use permits to more than 100 Ontario Parks on Sunday June 20, but those have to be booked in advance to guarantee access.
Anyone taking part in those activities this weekend is also being reminded that gathering limits are maxed out at 10 people, under Step 1 of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen.
