Hwy 401 has been reopened at the eastbound lanes near Joyceville after a serious accident involving two transport trucks early Wednesday morning.
OPP say that at approximately 3 a.m., a transport truck collided with another transport truck that was parked on the shoulder of 401 near Kingston in the eastbound lanes.
According to police the second transport truck caught fire and was extinguished by Kingston fire fighters.
There were no serious injuries but one driver was taken to Kingston General Hospital by paramedics as a precaution.
All eastbound lanes of the 401 near Joyceville were closed with emergency detours set up but police now say that both lanes are safely reopened as of 4:50 p.m.
