A Belleville man faces weapons charges after an incident Monday near the Lions Pavilion at West Zwick’s Park.
Police say they responded around 9 a.m. after people at the park called to say a man had pointed a flare gun at another man and threatened him, near the band shell.
Officers arrived to find the victim had left the area but they arrested 48-year-old David Robertson and charged him with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of a prohibited device.
He appears in court July 22. Police are still looking for the victim.
