A weekend kitchen party raised $82,000 for The Children’s Foundation.
Saturday’s “On the Bay” Kitchen Party was a virtual event raising money for the foundation’s Camps of Hope program.
The Children’s Foundation Executive Director Kim Henry says there will be some very happy kids this summer.
“Last year, obviously, they did not get that benefit and this year, we were really happy that people opened their hearts and their wallets and we’re able to send over 85 kids now to camp, which is really amazing.”
The evening, which was emceed by Quinte Broadcasting Sports Director Jack Miller, featured meals delivered to participants’ doors, local entertainment and a live auction.
