Members of the Canadian Armed Forces are set to descend on Picton next week for training.
The Canadian Special Operations Forces Command will be doing training in the area between June 14 and 26, which means residents might notice an increased presence of military personnel with weapons, aircraft and other vehicles.
There may also be some noise related to training explosives and weapons as well.
The CAF says due to COVID-19 it hasn’t been doing as much out of country training, which means more local communities across Canada are seeing an increase in military training activity and that it is “extremely grateful for the support and understanding” of residents as the training continues.
