Work is expected to get underway soon on major infrastructure upgrades in urban Belleville’s east end.
At Monday’s meeting city council will be asked to approve the low tender from Kingston-based company Gordon Barr Limited for Herchimer Avenue reconstruction and Dundas Street East watermain reconstruction.
Gordon Barr’s bid was the lowest of three totalling almost $7.7 million, including tax.
The work would start soon and be finished by the fall of next year and involves a section of Dundas East and Herchimer Avenue from Dundas East to Keegan Parkway.
