A Prince Edward County man is facing a handful of charges after OPP say they spotted him and others on Bald Head Beach last weekend.
Quinte West OPP were patrolling Wellers Bay, around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday June 6 and say they saw the suspect and others on the beach, which is a prohibited National Wildlife Area.
Police say the suspect gave them a fake name and didn’t have a boating licence or the required safety equipment on board his vessel.
Fifty-eight-year-old Michael Shepherd was charged with obstructing a peace officer, entering a premises when prohibited and other offences.
He was released with a court date on July 21, 2021.
