“Really what it’s going to do is provide residents access to natural gas, and help more families and business and farms find energy savings. Also promoting economic development and job creation across the region.”
Hastings Lennox and Addington MPP Daryl Kramp.
“Our government is making good on its promise to deliver affordable energy and expand natural gas pipelines to more communities. Access to natural gas will help more families and businesses find energy savings, while promoting economic development and job creation across Hastings–Lennox and Addington.”
The province estimates the average household could save between $250 to $1,500 per year in energy costs by switching to natural gas from costlier fuel sources. The government expects businesses to save up to 30% per year on energy costs.
