A retired educator has been selected to carry the Liberal banner in the next provincial election in Northumberland-Peterborough South riding.
Jeff Kawzenuk, who now lives in Colborne, was recently chosen as candidate over the only other person in the running, Cobourg councillor Nicole Beatty.
The 43rd Ontario general election will be held on or before June 2, 2022.
