Two concerned residents of Quinte West will address issues surrounding gypsy moths at Monday’s Quinte West council meeting.
The gypsy moth infestation has been a hot topic in recent years with the problem only growing.
Many people are experiencing tree loss and other issues that come with the infestation.
The municipalities are currently in a deadlock with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry with each saying it’s the other’s job to take care of the problem.
Quinte West council has been working to drum up support from nearby municipalities in support of a regional approach to prompt the provincial government to act.
Quinte West council meets Monday at 6:30 p.m.
