The Picton Town Hill project should be underway soon, pending council approval.
The project, which will see pedestrian crossings, line painting, signage, sight line improvements and other safety upgrades will be 90% funded through the province’s Connecting Links funding.
County staff applied for, and eventually were approved for, the funding for the project in the most recent funding window.
The 90% covered by the province totals approximately $260,000 and the county’s share totals just under $30,000.
The project will begin by the fall and will be completed before the end of the year.
County council meets Tuesday at 7 p.m.
