Breach of Probation
On June 5, 2021 at 5:15 p.m., officers attended the area of Highway 62 and Millennium Parkway for the report of a male acting erratically. Upon arrival, police located a male throwing sticks at passing vehicles. A 38-year-old male from Belleville was arrested and charged with breach of probation – 3 counts. He has a bail hearing June 6, 2021
Police Pursuit of Stolen Vehicle
On June 5, 2021 at 10:15 p.m., the OPP notified Belleville Police of a stolen vehicle on Hwy 401. The vehicle exited at Hwy 37 and officers attempted to stop the vehicle on Cannifton Road without success – it sped away southbound at high speed. Police did not continue to pursue the vehicle for public safety reasons. Near the intersection of College St E and Moira St E the suspect vehicle hit another car and fled. No injuries were reported in that crash. About 11:15 p.m., officers on patrol located the stolen vehicle abandoned near Moira St West. A search was conducted in the area for the suspect.
