A suspicious persons complaint in Belleville yesterday has led to the arrest of two people for theft and drug offences.
Officers received a call about a man caught on surveillance cameras, prowling around vehicles on Station Street, around 4:00 a.m. yesterday.
The suspect, who police knew was wanted on a warrant and was believed to be connected to a break-in earlier in the week, was found riding a bike and was arrested.
Police searched the area where he was arrested and found a campsite with numerous stolen items, as well as a woman, who police say had methamphetamine on her.
Forty-three-year-old Paul Laroche-Davidson was arrested on an outstanding theft warrant and was charged with mischief under $5,000, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of break-in tools.
Thirty-seven-year-old Wendi Budgell was charged with possession of property obtained by crime and possession of methamphetamine.
