Representatives of Hospice Quinte have announced that the heart of the future Hospice Quinte Care Centre will be named in honour of the John M. and Bernice Parrott Foundation.
In honour of the numerous donations to Hospice Quinte, including a $35,000 donation to the Heart & Home Building Campaign this Spring, the resident wing at the new future hospice care centre will be named the John M. & Bernice Parrott Hospice Care Wing.
The most recent donation is one of many made over the years which have totalled $500,000.
The new hospice care centre will be built on Old Highway 2 across from Bayside Secondary school with an expected open date sometime this fall.
