Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting zero new cases of COVID-19 as well as three recoveries Sunday for an active total of 25.
This follows two days, Friday and Saturday, during which only one case per day has been reported.
Hospitalizations remain the same with six people in hospital, three in the Intensive Care Unit and one on a ventilator.
There were also five confirmed Variant of Concern (VOC) cases discovered bringing that total to 489 since the pandemic began. VOC cases are typically discovered via testing retroactively which is why they have been added to the total on Sunday despite there being no new reported cases.
To date, there have been 94,315 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in HPE including 86,657, or 51%, of the population having had their first dose and 7,658, or 5%, having had their second dose.
