The mayor of Quinte West has now added the Ontario Association of Police Services Board to his resume.
On Friday, Jim Harrison was installed as the board member for Zone 2 (Eastern Ontario). The area spreads west to the Durham border, and east to the Quebec border
He was elected to the position on Thursday, and replaces King Yee from Brockville.
There are representatives in various geographical areas across the province.
The OAPSB represents municipal police services and OPP detachments across Ontario.
Harrison says, “I support policing and the great work our women and men in uniform do. I recognize them and want to support them however I can. I also believe the detachments in Eastern Ontario, and in particular, the Bay of Quinte region are some of the best in Ontario. I look forward to the work ahead.”
