One person faces several charges following a serious assault in Trenton Thursday morning.
Quinte West OPP were called to an Annwood Court address around 9 a.m. where a witness reported a female had been badly injured in an assault.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers located a suspect shortly after on Water Street.
A 30-year-old Belleville male was charged with:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault causing bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle
- Forcible entry
- Obstruct peace officer; and
- Fail to comply with probation order – two counts
The accused, whose name is not being released, was held for a bail hearing Friday.
