A Prince Edward County man has been charged after a car hit a stop sign in Wellington earlier this week.
Investigators say the car almost hit pedestrians as well when it crashed into the stop sign on Beach Street around 5:00 p.m. this past Tuesday.
County OPP officers had to use a taser to subdue the man, who was eventually arrested and charged with dangerous driving and assault with intent to resist arrest.
Thirty-five-year-old Andrew McCartney will appear in court on June 30 to answer to the charges.
