Friday was a good day on the local COVID front with just one new case in Hastings Prince Edward and no new cases in Northumberland.
The Hastings Prince Edward Public Health dashboard also shows there have been seven recoveries since Thursday.
Thirty-two cases remain active.
The new case is a male in his 50s in North Hastings with the cause attributed to close contact.
The number of hospitalized remains at six but there are now three people in the ICU (an increase of one) and one person on a ventilator.
The seven-day case rate per 100,000 people is 17.8.
Also good news, 50% of HPE residents have received a first dose of vaccine.
Four per cent – 7,412 people – are fully vaccinated.
Along with zero new cases in Northumberland, there were four recoveries according to Friday’s report, leaving 25 active cases there.
