Quinte West OPP say pepper spray was used in an alleged assault in Trenton.
Monday evening, police were called to a Herman Street address where two people had been exposed to pepper spray.
Both were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
One person was arrested and a can of pepper spray was seized.
Twenty-one-year-old Alicia Stewart of Belleville is charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The accused was released from custody on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 24.
