HPE Public Health is reporting nine new cases of COVID-19 in the area today, along with eight recoveries, for an active total of 37.
Six of the new cases were found in North Hastings, one in Centre Hastings and two in the Deseronto area.
Six of the cases have been linked to close contact and the cause of the other three cases is pending.
The Health Unit’s dashboard shows 10 people in hospital, with four in the ICU and three on ventilators.
There is only one ongoing outbreak, which is only linked to one case.
On the vaccination front, 55.2% of all residents in HPE have received at least one dose, with 4% fully vaccinated.
In Northumberland County today, the HKPR Health Unit is reporting five new cases and two recoveries, for a total of 34 active.
