The John M. & Bernice Parrott Foundation has made another significant donation to Quinte Health Care.
The foundation has donated $1 million to go towards the Nuclear Medicine Program at Belleville General Hospital, which QHC says is “a vital diagnostic tool for cancer and cardiology care close to home for residents in our region.”
The program sees approximately 5,000 patients per year, with QHC trying to raise a total $2.7 million through its nuclear medicine program campaign.
The $1 million gift is in addition to another recent $290,000 donation from the Parrott Foundation, to go towards the COVID-19 relief effort, specifically an ultraviolet disinfection tower and other much-needed equipment.
Parrott Foundation President Lyle Vanclief says they were “pleased to be able to support QHC in their work and effots to improve health and wellbeing in our community.”
