Quinte Health Care’s Board of Directors has decided on what new medical equipment will be purchased in the coming months.
Some of the major pieces are listed below.
A C-arm (imaging scanner intensifier) and Diagnostic Imaging suite at Belleville General Hospital ($700,000) which have already been deferred as long as possible.
Ultrasound machines for each of Trenton Memorial, Prince Edward County Memorial, and North Hastings ($550,000 total)
Patient monitoring ($400,000)
North Hastings CT scanner ($1,800,000)
Replacement of the cameras for Nuclear Medicine ($2,700,000) pending Foundation support ($2.2 million secured to date)
The entire capital list and its cost was described as being well within QHC’s capital funding sources and the Foundation’s / FDC’s ability to pay.
