One person was charged after OPP responded to an incident allegedly involving a firearm Wednesday in Trenton.
Multiple Quinte West OPP officers responded to a Scott Street address around 7:30 p.m. where a witness reported they saw someone point a handgun at another person.
A firearm was located and two people were arrested.
The firearm turned out a replica “airsoft” handgun.
One person was released unconditionally while the other was charged.
Suspected Percocet pills were seized during a search of the accused.
Thirty-one-year-old Frederick Taylor of Quinte West is charged with pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of Oxycodone.
The accused was released from custody on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 24.
