A new tourist development is being proposed for property near the hamlet of Waupoos in Prince Edward County.
Wednesday, the county’s Planning Committee will hold a public meeting on an application for official plan and zoning by-law amendments which would allow a development featuring a 12-unit hotel and spa, dining space, lounge, 12 off-grid cabins, along with trails and other recreational amenities.
The facility would be located on 32 hectares of land fronting on County Road 8 just east of Cape Vineyards Winery.
The Planning Committee will not be making a decision on the application at Wednesday’s meeting.
