As the province extends the stay-at-home order to June 2, Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting just one new case of COVID-19 in the area today, along with six recoveries.
The number of active cases in the region is down to 78.
The new case was found in Belleville, in a woman from the 19 to 29 age group, but its transmission cause is pending.
Seventeen people are still in hospital locally due to the virus, with seven in the ICU and five on ventilators.
There are six ongoing outbreaks, according to the HPE Public Health Dashboard.
On the vaccination front, just under 70,000 doses have been given in our area, with just under 5,000 people fully vaccinated.
In Northumberland County today, the HKPR Health Unit is reporting eight new cases and six recoveries, for an active total of 33.
