Following some community consultation, Belleville city staff have updated the conceptual design for the redevelopment of Hillcrest Park.
The project team has decided to add four more pickleball courts, for a total of eight, along with a washroom and amenities station, similar to what’s in place at West Zwick’s Park.
The plans for the park also include two half-size basketball courts, playground, splash pad, skate dot and more.
The Children’s Safety Village and Belleville Lawn Bowling Club will also be located on the property.
Staff say they’ll continue to listen to public input on the plan as the process moves forward and anyone interested in getting more info can email the project team at parkconstruction@belleville.ca.
