For the second day in a row, Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting seven new cases of COVID-19 and 81 active cases.
There have been seven recoveries since Sunday’s report.
Monday’s seven new cases include two each in Belleville, Quinte West and Central Hastings with Prince Edward County accounting for the other case.
Three cases are the result of close contact, one is close contact – outbreak related, with the causes of the other three cases pending.
The HPE Public Health dashboard shows 18 people are in hospital.
Eight people are now in the ICU with six on ventilators.
The number of active outbreaks is down to six as a workplace outbreak that was responsible for two cases has been declared over.
66,763 total doses of vaccine have been administered.
Thirty-seven per cent of people in Hastings and Prince Edward counties have received one dose of vaccine while three per cent of the local population, or 4,618 people are fully vaccinated.
The HKPR District Health Unit is reporting nine new cases in Northumberland today.
Thirty-six cases are active.
There have been five recoveries since their last report on Saturday.
