Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting seven new cases of COVID-19 as well as seven recoveries Sunday, with the active case count remaining at 81.
Three of the new cases are in Centre Hastings, two are in Belleville and there is one each in Quinte West and Prince Edward County.
The cause of all but one of the new cases is listed as close contact, with the remaining one listed as pending.
According to the HPE COVID-19 dashboard, there is one more person being treated in hospital, for a total of 18, including seven in the ICU and seven on ventilators, an increase of one for both numbers since Saturday.
Seven more Variant of Concern cases have been identified bringing the total to 358 of which 23 are active.
To date, there have been 66,723 doses of vaccine administered with 4,618, or 3% of the population of the HPE region, having been fully vaccinated.
