Hastings and Prince Edward Counties/May 8, 2021 – Eligible individuals are encouraged to take advantage of open appointments at upcoming COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Belleville and Trenton. As eligibility is expected to expand to additional groups as early as next week, those who are currently eligible are encouraged to book as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary delays accessing vaccination. Currently, appointments are available in both Belleville and Trenton on:
- Week of May 17
- Week of May 24
Booking online is quick, easy, and convenient. Eligible individuals can see all available appointments and book online at Ontario.ca/bookvaccine at any time. If you are unable to book online, call the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-833-943-3900 between 8 a.m.- 8 p.m., Monday-Sunday. You will need your photo ID health card to book. As booking is managed by the province, please do not contact HPEPH to inquire about appointment booking.
Who is Eligible to Book?
The following groups are now eligible to book first dose COVID-19 vaccination appointments directly. No confirmation code is required.
- All groups eligible as part of Phase 1
- People with highest and high risk health conditions and their caregivers
- Individuals living and working in congregate settings
- Licensed child care workers
- People who cannot work from home (Group One), which includes
- Agriculture and farm workers
- Education workers in elementary and secondary schools
- Enforcement, inspection and compliance roles (by-law enforcement, building inspectors, food inspectors, border inspection officers, labour inspectors, and WSIB field workers)
- Foster care agency workers (including customary care providers)
- Food manufacturing and distribution workers
- Funeral, crematory, and cemetery workers
- Workers responding to critical events (police, fire, special constables, children’s aid society workers, infrastructure restoration workers)
Standby List Eligibility and Registration Time Frame Expanded
HPEPH’s Standby List eligibility and registration time frame has also been expanded. All individuals who are currently eligible and have not been able to book an appointment can register on the Standby List. The list will be used to fill last minute cancellations or vacancies at daily clinics. This week, the standby list will be open for registrations from Saturday at 4pm until Monday at 4pm. Please note – in order to ensure public health resources are used as effectively as possible during this critical time, only individuals who do not have a booked appointment are eligible to register on the standby list. Individuals registering on the standby list must be willing and able to report to selected vaccination clinics within 30 minutes of receiving a call from HPEPH.
