The Quinte Region saw another real estate record fall, with 604 transactions being recorded last month, surpassing the 600 threshold for the first time ever.
That was more than double the number of sales from April 2020 and totalled $370 million, which also sets a new local record.
The Quinte and District Association of Realtors says the benchmark price for a single-family home was up 46.8% from April last year, to $490,100, with the average sale price of a home last month at $612,519.
That’s up close to 60% from April 2020.
New listings were up almost 170% from last year as well, with 772 listings, the largest number of new listings for the month in more than five years.
