Hastings Prince Edward Health reported a dozen new cases of COVID-19 Thursday.
The HPE Public Health dashboard shows 75 cases are active and eight people have recovered since Wednesday’s report.
Eight of the new cases are in Belleville, one is in Quinte West and three are in Central Hastings.
Three cases are the result of close contact, two are outbreak related, one was caused by local spread with the causes of the other six cases pending.
There are 16 people in hospital with six in the ICU and six on a ventilator.
Seven outbreaks remain active.
20 people have been affected by the outbreak on Quinte 5 at Belleville General Hospital with three confirmed cases from the ICU outbreak.
A total of 64,661 doses of vaccine have been administered with 4,508 people, or three per cent of the population fully vaccinated.
There were three new cases Thursday in Northumberland but there have been five recoveries leaving 25 active cases there.
