100 + Women Who Care Quinte is helping a charitable organization in the northern part of the area.
Wednesday night 80 members of Women Who Care joined together online in a ZOOM meeting and voted to make a substantial donation to the Centre Hastings Support Network.
Centre Hastings Support Network is based out of Madoc and provides transit services and operates a food bank.
The Support Network’s Executive Director Sally Gale said the donation will go toward making a more accessible and roomy entrance to the Helping Hands Food Bank.
The actual amount of 100 + Women Who Care Quinte’s donation will be known at a later date.
