April is usually a good month for construction and that was definitely the case in the City of Quinte West.
Building permits with a construction value of just under $10 million were issued in April, $8.5 million due to plans for new residential construction.
In April of 2020, as the pandemic took hold, only $5.1 million worth of building permits were issued.
For the year to the end of April, 230 building permits valued at just over $39 million have been issued in Quinte West.
For the same period last year only 177 permits were issued with a value of $22 million.
