A Belleville Transit driver has been recognized by the mayor for his work in helping a passenger in medical distress recently.
Mike Todd was driving his route when he noticed a passenger having a seizure.
He pulled the bus over and called for help, while another passenger helped tend to the woman and Todd directed paramedics to the woman, who received the medical attention she needed.
Todd was presented with a certificate by Mayor Mitch Panciuk and members of Belleville City Staff outside the downtown bus terminal on Tuesday, recognizing him for his service and quick thinking.
