Hastings Prince Edward Health reported 15 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday.
The HPE Public Health dashboard shows the number of active cases is up to 72 with 10 people recovered since Monday’s report.
Belleville accounts for eight of the new cases with four in Quinte West, two in Prince Edward County and one in the North Hastings area.
Three cases are linked to outbreaks, three more are close contact-related and two each were caused by travel and local transmission.
Causes of the other five cases are pending.
Six outbreaks remain in effect with the outbreak on Quinte 5 at Belleville General Hospital now affecting 17 people.
The number of people hospitalized at QHC is 18 with seven in the ICU and six on ventilators.
61,636 doses of vaccine have been administered to Hastings and Prince Edward residents with 4,098 fully vaccinated.
There were five new cases Tuesday in Northumberland County.
The HKPR Health Unit dashboard reports 32 active cases.
Seven cases have been resolved since Monday.
